Pentagon Releases UFO Files from Apollo Missions, Revealing Strange Encounters
Pentagon UFO Files from Apollo Missions Show Strange Encounters

The long-awaited UFO files were released on Friday morning, unveiling astonishing eyewitness accounts of unexplainable phenomena during the Apollo moon missions. The US Department of War published hundreds of pages of documents, photographs, and audio recordings that allegedly provide evidence of extraterrestrial sightings dating back to the 1940s.

In what has been described as the first batch of UFO files expected from the Pentagon this year, transcripts from the Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 moon missions were included. These files, along with a collection of images taken by astronauts on the moon, reveal multiple encounters with strange objects that appear to fly around their lunar landers.

Apollo 17 Encounter

During the Apollo 17 mission in 1972, astronauts Gene Cernan, Jack Schmitt, and Ron Evans reported seeing a bright object that rotated and flashed rhythmically in space. Cernan described the sighting: 'I'm looking at what - what Jack was talking about; and it's definitely not a particle that's nearby because there is another one I can look at and get a three-dimensional comparison with.' He added, 'It is a bright object, and it's obviously rotating because it's flashing. It's way out in the distance, as I say, because there are particles that are close by and it's obviously not one of those.' The astronaut noted that the object appeared to rotate in a very rhythmic fashion, with flashes coming almost on time. He estimated it was about 10 or 12 Earth diameters away as they looked back at Earth.

Additional Evidence

The released files also include archival photographs from the Apollo 12 landing site, highlighting areas of interest where unidentified phenomena are visible above the horizon. These images depict the lunar surface with highlighted regions that show unexplained objects or lights. The Pentagon has indicated that more documents will be released throughout the year as part of an ongoing effort to declassify information related to unidentified aerial phenomena.

This is a developing story, and further details are expected to follow as additional files are made public.
