The 63-year-old actor, who will reprise his iconic role as Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell, is set to earn a reported £18 million base salary along with approximately 8 per cent of the film's profits. Top Gun 3 was officially confirmed by Paramount film co-head Josh Greenstein during last week's CinemaCon event in Las Vegas. Behind the scenes, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Cruise himself, and Maverick co-writer Ehren Kruger are already deeply involved in developing the script for the highly anticipated blockbuster.
