Sinitta Braces for Third Jungle Adventure in I'm A Celebrity All-Stars
Sinitta, the vibrant pop singer renowned for her 1980s chart-toppers and association with music mogul Simon Cowell, is set to return to the jungle for the third time. She joins the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Allstars series, which premieres on Monday, April 6, on ITV1 and STV. This spin-off features 11 other memorable campmates reuniting in the South African wilderness for what promises to be some of the most intense trials in the show's history.
A Resilient Star with a Storied Career
At 62, Sinitta first rose to fame under the Stock Aitken Waterman production team, delivering hits like So Macho, Toy Boy, and GTO. She holds the distinction of being Simon Cowell's inaugural recording artist. Beyond her music, Sinitta's personal life has seen both joy and hardship. She married Andy Willner in 2002, enduring multiple miscarriages and three unsuccessful IVF attempts within four months. In 2007, she adopted her two children, Zac and Magdalena, now 18, whom she credits with helping her through difficult times, including comforting Cowell after the tragic death of Liam Payne.
Previous Jungle Stint and Memorable Moments
Sinitta first appeared on I'm A Celebrity in 2011 as a late entrant in the Australian jungle but was voted out second, after actress Crissy Rock. Her time on the show was marked by a pronounced fear of jungle creatures and dramatic reactions during Bushtucker trials. Notably, she participated in the first live trial, Horror-ds shop, where she managed to hold a lobster in her mouth for 20 seconds despite her squeamishness. Upon exiting, she expressed love for her fellow campmates and acknowledged her anticipated departure, stating she was glad to have faced her fears.
New Ambitions and Future Plans
Now, Sinitta views her return as an opportunity to reignite her music career. She revealed that she has been recording new tracks set to release in the coming weeks, emphasizing the platform's potential. "Initially, it was all about the spiders, snakes, and rats, but then you realize what a massive opportunity this is," she said. "I need to embrace it and go for it, because it's so unexpected and such a massive show." Fans eagerly await her new music, hoping it captures the same energy that made her a household name decades ago.
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will guide the returning celebrities through the challenges, ensuring entertainment and suspense for viewers. Sinitta's journey promises to blend nostalgia with fresh excitement as she confronts the jungle once more.
