Pippa Middleton recently embarked on a delightful family ski break in the French Alps, guiding her young daughters through the snowy slopes and perhaps reflecting on her own cherished childhood memories. The 42-year-old was seen laughing and encouraging her daughters, Grace, aged five, and Rose, aged three, during their winter escape, which took place just last week.
A Nostalgic Journey to the Slopes
For Pippa, this trip may have evoked fond recollections of her own upbringing, where parents Carole and Michael Middleton instilled a lifelong love of skiing in their children. She shares the same age gap with her older sister, Kate, the Princess of Wales, now 44, as her daughters do with each other, adding a sentimental layer to the experience. Despite the Middleton family's tradition of skiing together, Kate and Prince William, along with their three children, were absent from this particular holiday.
Family Dynamics on the Snow
Sporty Pippa, a veteran competitor in challenging ski events across Europe, was determined to pass on her passion for the slopes to her little girls. She skied slowly between Grace and Rose, using her ski poles to guide them gently. With a smile, she offered words of encouragement to Grace, while turning to urge on Rose, who clung intently to her other pole.
The children were dressed almost identically in black ski trousers and red and white jackets, complete with protective white helmets and goggles. Pippa herself made a patriotic fashion statement, wearing bright red ski pants and a two-tone blue jacket adorned with a red and white chevron design. Her outfit was topped with a black helmet and designer Oakley goggles pushed up.
Easter Break in Luxury
The family enjoyed an Easter break in a stunning private chalet, joined by Pippa's husband, hedge fund tycoon James Matthews, 50, and their son Arthur, aged seven. James was spotted skiing solo ahead of the group, dressed in blue trousers and a jacket featuring a red and white stripe, along with a helmet and aviator sunglasses. He was also seen encouraging his daughter during their time on the slopes.
This getaway highlights Pippa's commitment to fostering a love for skiing in her children, much like her parents did for her and Kate. While the entire Middleton clan often reunites for ski trips, this occasion was a more intimate family moment, filled with laughter and supportive guidance on the picturesque French Alpine terrain.
