Rebecca Judd has candidly discussed a cosmetic surgery mishap that left her resembling an iconic pop culture character. The 43-year-old influencer, speaking on her podcast Vain-Ish, revealed that anti-wrinkle injections resulted in a condition she calls 'Spock face,' after the Star Trek character portrayed by Leonard Nimoy.
Spock Face Incident
During a conversation with a guest about botched injections causing slanted eyebrows, Judd admitted she experienced the same issue. 'That happened to me once. I call it Spock face, because of Mr Spock! I've been having anti-wrinkle injections for literally half my life,' she said. The injections caused her eyebrows to slant sharply downward, making it difficult to express emotions while co-hosting Channel Nine's travel series from 2016 to 2020.
Judd recalled the embarrassment: 'It was so embarrassing, because it was when I had to interview people and react. So, I would be like, "Tell us how long you've had this restaurant for and what ingredients you use."' She added, 'They would be talking and I would go to raise my eyebrows... Every time I did, I would go full alien! It was outer corners, it was ridiculous.... actually horrendous.'
Previous Cosmetic Procedures
The AFL WAG recently opened up about other procedures after years of denial. Last year, she confessed to having under-eye filler that turned out 'awful' and had to be dissolved. 'Then I had to fix the hollowness, stretched skin and eye bags that were left behind. It wasn't an easy fix,' she shared on Instagram.
Judd also admitted to undergoing a salmon sperm facial to maintain her complexion. In an interview with Stellar magazine, she expressed a desire for transparency: 'I don't have a line on my face. I'm telling you it's not because I get eight hours' sleep a night, all right?' She urged others to 'stop gaslighting' women by lying about procedures, adding, 'You get to a certain age where it's like, come on, let's be a bit more honest. This is the year where we stop bullsh***ing everyone and we fess up.'
Commitment to Honest Conversations
Rebecca emphasized that 'everyone should be a little honest and have better conversations around beauty, aesthetics and wellness.' Last June, she visited an aesthetic nurse for a 'conservative approach to facial rejuvenation' using radio frequency microneedling, LED therapies, and injectables. She captioned a snapshot of her neck after an 'Exion' treatment: 'Give me Kris Jenner's neck without the surgery.'
