I'm A Celeb All Stars' Jungle Glow-Ups Exposed by Aesthetics Expert
The jungle environment of I'm a Celebrity All Stars is designed to strip away all glamour, with no access to makeup artists, filters, or retouching. However, viewers have been captivated not just by the drama but by the noticeably altered appearances of some campmates, sparking widespread speculation about cosmetic enhancements.
Gemma Collins: The Pout That Sparked a Frenzy
Leading the conversation is former TOWIE icon Gemma Collins, whose fuller lips, tightened skin, and distinct "done but not done" glow have become a focal point for fans. Aesthetics doctor Dr Rupert Critchley from VIVA Skin Clinics provided an observational analysis to the Mirror, noting that while direct consultation is necessary for confirmation, certain features align with modern injectable treatments.
Dr Critchley explained, "The lips in particular appear fuller and more projected, which can be consistent with filler. The overall lower face appears more structured, which can be consistent with volume support such as dermal filler." He added that harsh jungle lighting amplifies any volume in the lips and cheeks, making enhancements more visible. Gemma's look fits what he terms the "Instagram-to-jungle transition face," where treatments designed for polished makeup looks remain evident in bare conditions.
Beverley Callard: Subtle and Restrained Tweaks
Coronation Street icon Beverley Callard is described as having a more restrained appearance. Dr Critchley believes she may have undergone conservative anti-wrinkle treatments and subtle volume restoration in the mid-face. "There's a maintained smoothness that doesn’t completely align with unassisted ageing alone on camera. If any treatment has been carried out, it appears to be subtle and well-balanced," he stated.
Sinitta: Cheek Volume That Stands Out
For singer Sinitta, Dr Critchley highlighted noticeable mid-face fullness, suggesting her cheek structure looks "supported," potentially due to dermal filler. "When volume is maintained in these conditions, it can appear more noticeable on camera," he remarked, noting that this effect is amplified under fatigue and sun exposure in the jungle.
Ashley Roberts: Polished Yet Believable
Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts is praised for having one of the most camera-ready looks in camp. Dr Critchley observed, "If there has been any work done, it’s extremely subtle. The lips have definition, but nothing that disrupts natural proportion." He attributed her smooth skin and symmetry to a combination of genetics, skincare, and possibly minimal tweakments.
Scarlett Moffatt: Smooth Forehead Hints at Treatment
Former jungle queen Scarlett Moffatt was noted for a smoother upper face alongside strong expression in the lower face. Dr Critchley suggested, "this combination can sometimes be consistent with anti-wrinkle treatments that soften lines while preserving expression."
The Jungle Verdict: Amplification Under Scrutiny
Despite the speculation, Dr Critchley reiterated that certainty requires direct consultation but acknowledged the jungle's brutally revealing nature. "In this setting, you see everything," he said. "Fillers, skin texture, hydration levels, nothing is hidden. Even the smallest tweak becomes visible." As the All-Stars series continues, it's clear that no filter can conceal what HD cameras, heat, and sunlight expose in the unforgiving jungle environment.
