Ingredients

  • Two free-range eggs
  • Splash of milk
  • Pinch salt and freshly ground pepper
  • Two slices of bread, toasted
  • Salted butter, for spreading

Method

  1. Break the eggs into a microwavable bowl and season with salt and pepper. Beat thoroughly with a fork until fully combined and some bubbles appear on the surface.
  2. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir with a fork. If necessary, microwave again in 10-second intervals until the eggs have nearly set.
  3. Bear in mind they will carry on cooking slightly once taken out of the microwave due to residual heat. Stir once more and leave to stand for 30 seconds.
  4. Butter your toast and spoon the egg on top. Serve straight away.

This method frees up precious time during hectic mornings and delivers delicious scrambled eggs with minimal effort.
