"I didn't get a gastric bypass; I got off my big a**e, moved more, ate less, and educated myself on what I was stuffing into my body," Josie stated emphatically. This candid admission underscores her commitment to natural methods over surgical interventions.

Lifestyle Overhaul Post-Pregnancy

This weight loss achievement is not Josie's first discussion on the topic. Back in 2024, she shared how a significant lifestyle change followed the birth of her son, Reggie, in 2018. A key component was eliminating refined sugars from her diet, opting instead for natural sugars found exclusively in fruits. This shift played a crucial role in her overall health improvement.

Speaking with the Mirror, Josie emphasised the importance of sustainability in any diet plan. She recognised that being overly rigid was counterproductive and that allowing herself some flexibility was essential for long-term success and enjoyment. "So I did the six-day plan on Do The Unthinkable, which entitled me to one day off," she explained.

On her designated cheat day, Josie practiced moderation. "Now on that one day off, I had one cheat meal - I didn't go crazy and drink 10 bottles of wine and binge all day on food and chocolate and all the naughty things I haven't been having, I just had my one cheat and that was it," she detailed. Her advice to others is clear: "So if you've got that one day off, don't undo all your hard work. Just have your one cheat meal and enjoy it. Don't have a day binge."

The Role of Intermittent Fasting

Josie also incorporated intermittent fasting into her routine, adopting an eight-hour eating window with complete food abstinence outside those hours. While this method has shown benefits for some, nutrition experts caution against viewing it as a universal solution. Nutritionist Louise Pyne, writing for The Standard, warned: "While it can achieve good results for some, researchers have found that it doesn't work for everyone."

Pyne highlighted potential pitfalls, noting that in one study, participants on an intermittent fasting regimen ended up eating more on unrestricted days in anticipation of fasting, and also reduced their exercise levels. This underscores the need for personalised approaches to weight management.

Amidst sharing her weight loss insights, Josie appeared on This Morning to discuss her "dramatic" new series, How to Clean Up for Cash. The show features Josie secretly entering cluttered homes under the guise of a fictitious programme, then working with her crew to pack up possessions, assess their value, and sell items with the owners' consent.
