Home Expert Reveals Genius Trick to Dry a T-Shirt in Minutes Without a Dryer
Dry T-Shirt Fast Without Tumble Dryer: Expert Trick

Choosing an outfit only to discover the one item you desperately want to wear is still in the washing basket is an all-too-familiar frustration, yet it occurs surprisingly often. Many people schedule their laundry loads around the weather forecast or whenever it is most convenient for them. But now one woman has shared how you can dry a T-shirt rapidly without relying on a heated clothes airer or tumble dryer.

The Simple Towel Trick

Self-described home expert Caroline Solomon, who goes by Neat Caroline, demonstrated the simple trick that requires nothing more than a towel. Posting on Instagram to her 318,800 followers, she said: "If you need to dry a wet T-shirt fast, here is exactly how to do it."

First, grab a towel and lay it down flat. Make sure you have your towel inspector close by, referencing her adorable pet in the clip. Once everything is gathered, Caroline places her T-shirt flat on the towel before rolling it into a very tight burrito. She continued: "And then with all the strength you have got, you are going to press down that burrito with your knees. You are going to do this for about 30 to 45 seconds. Unfurl that burrito and this really works. Your T-shirt will be so much drier. Then you can hang dry it or if you have a hair dryer you can give it a pass."

Additional Tips for Drying Clothes Fast

  • Remove the water: Extract any excess water first. You could run an extra spin cycle in your washing machine.
  • Tumble dryer: Use a clean, fluffy towel in your tumble dryer to absorb excess moisture. Avoid overloading; only fill the dryer about halfway.
  • Use a dehumidifier: This can help soak up excess moisture from your clothes.
  • Boost airflow: Place your drying rack directly in front of an open window or a fan. Moving air accelerates evaporation.
  • Strategic radiator placement: If you use a radiator, set up your drying rack parallel to it. Place smaller or thinner items closer to the heat source and heavier items further away.
