Coleen Nolan, the Loose Women star, has delighted fans by showcasing her three-and-a-half stone weight loss in a recent social media post. The 61-year-old, who toured the UK with her This Is Me show earlier this year, played her final London performance this week.
In photos taken backstage before going on stage, Nolan wore a navy blue dress and posed confidently with her hand on her hip. She shared the images on Instagram, writing: "My second look from the show last night!" and thanked her hair and makeup stylists for their help.
Fans and Friends React
Fans flooded the comments with praise. One wrote: "Absolutely flawless col! Love you lots xxxx". Another said: "So amazing and stunning lovely outfit lovely pose l love it with lovely smile lovely picture." A third commented: "Gorgeous dress Coleen, the colour really suits you. Hope you tour again next year," while a fourth simply added: "Looking good, Col!"
Nolan, who rose to fame with her sisters in the late 1970s with hits like "I'm In The Mood For Dancing" and "Gotta Pull Myself Together," has been candid about her weight loss journey, which she undertook with support from the weight-loss platform Voy.
Health and Confidence Boost
She previously said: "I feel so much better health-wise. My back’s improved, I’ve got more energy. And confidence-wise, of course it helps. I used to eat when I was happy or sad. I don’t worry about it in the same way any more."
Speaking to The Mirror, she added: "I don't want to lose any more weight – I'm happy. It's about maintaining now and having a healthy relationship with food and with myself. And with Voy you get 24-7 support."
Dealing with Trolls
Despite the positive response, Nolan admitted she "couldn't win" with online trolls. She said: "I tried to not let the trolls affect me, but it was hard when they were calling me fat and all these names, because those were things that I actually thought about myself. Now, people attack me for the opposite, claiming I've lost too much weight. I just can't win! But I don't mind these comments as much. I almost think 'thank you' because I needed to lose the weight."
She told Bella Magazine that her health kick has left her feeling "much more confident" and that she has learned to find balance by allowing herself "one or two [treats] instead of the whole packet."
Last month, when she first unveiled her weight loss success, she was flooded with support from celebrity pals.
