A cleaner has shared a simple and cheap solution for cleaning hard-to-reach areas in the home, using a 3p item that many already have in their cupboards.
Lily, known as 'Cleanwithlily' on social media, praised cocktail sticks as an 'essential' in her cleaning routine. In a Facebook post, she shared photos of using the tiny wooden sticks to clean the inside button of her washing machine, the gaps around her sink, and the hob where crumbs often gather.
The Hack
"Cocktail sticks are an essential in my cleaning cupboard," she revealed. "They get in all of those hard to reach areas," she added, using them for the side of the hob, between buttons, and around the tap.
She urged others: "Add them into your cleaning kit to make your cleaning abit easier."
Affordable and Effective
Cocktail sticks, or toothpicks, are available in most supermarkets and department stores, with packs of hundreds or thousands sold for just a few pounds.
