Amy Childs Says 'Skinny Jabs' Caused Weight to Drop Below 7 Stone

Amy Childs has revealed she was 'scared' by how ill she became after using weight loss injections, which saw her weight drop below seven stone. The TOWIE star said she was so exhausted she could not care for her three children and has vowed 'never again' to use the jabs.

Speaking on the No Parental Guidance podcast, Childs admitted she tried the injections for two weeks to lose 'that little extra baby weight' after welcoming twins three years ago. She experienced severe side effects including vomiting and nausea, and was bedridden for three days.

'I was so ill - I cannot tell you,' she said. 'I thought I was pregnant. After two weeks I thought what am I doing, and I never took it ever again.' Childs stressed that while the jabs work for others, they were not for her.

The mother of four also attributed her weight loss to stress following her mother's heart attack last year. At her lowest, she weighed 6 stone 13 lbs. She said she is now 'better' and trains three times a week, playing Padel.

Childs revealed she faces daily scrutiny over her weight, with people telling her she looks 'terrible' and questioning her role as a mother. She admitted she became 'so skinny' after her mother's illness but has since recovered.
