A young man from Manchester has shared the shocking and unexpectedly humorous side effects of his hair transplant procedure, which left his forehead swollen to comic proportions.
The Decision for a Hair Transplant
Logan Henderson, a 26-year-old accountant, decided to undergo a £3,500 hair transplant on 1 November to address hair loss he has battled since the age of 19. Surgeons transplanted approximately 4,500 grafts during the procedure.
Logan explained his motivation, stating he wanted to "look his age again" after feeling his receding hairline made him appear a decade older. "I wanted to revive the hair line and not look like I was 26 pushing 36," he said. "It was at a point where I needed to either shave it or try something else."
A Rough and Unusual Recovery
The accountant soon discovered his recovery would be more complex than anticipated. He was required to sleep upright for ten days to protect the delicate grafts. By the second day, he noticed significant swelling.
"The recovery was pretty rough," Logan admitted. "Sleeping upright was tricky for the first 10 days and I didn't want to leave the house. I thought it was okay the day after but by day two I looked like Megamind."
He wore a headband to help reduce the swelling, but this led to further distortion. "After I took the headband off, it started falling down my face and it lead to some pretty interesting head shapes," he recalled. "Every time the band was on it would collect and swell in my forehead and top of my head."
Public Reaction and Social Media Comments
The dramatic swelling peaked around day three. "My forehead not far off doubled in size, and my right eye nearly shut from swelling," Logan described. "I couldn't feel my skull for a week because of the swelling."
His altered appearance did not go unnoticed. The day after the operation, while walking through London with a headband, he received many strange looks. When he shared his experience on TikTok, the comments section filled with humour.
People online joked that he "looks like he can remember the future", had "got a lot on his mind", and told him to "stop overthinking".
Logan is now waiting to see the full results of his procedure, which will take up to 12 months to become fully visible.
