Multiple recall alerts have been issued this week for popular products, including a dinner item, baby snacks, and 15 designer perfumes. Customers are urged to stop using affected items immediately.
Pesto Recall
Filippo Berio UK is recalling its Hot Chilli Pesto due to undeclared fish content not listed on the packaging. The affected product comes in a 190g pack with batch code LR319 and a best-before date of May 15, 2028. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) stated: "This product contains fish, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to fish. Filippo Berio UK is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations." The company has issued point-of-sale notices explaining the recall. Customers with a fish allergy should not consume the product and return it to the store for a full refund.
Baby Snack Recall
Glenisk has recalled a range of Organic Baby Fromage Frais products due to possible mould contamination. The FSA said: "These products may contain mould which makes them unfit for human consumption." Consumers are advised to dispose of the products and contact Glenisk for a replacement. Affected products include:
- Organic Baby Fromage Frais mango with apple, banana & oats (4x60g, use by 28/05/2026)
- Organic Baby Fromage Frais strawberry with banana, vanilla & oats (4x60g, use by 28/05/2026)
- Organic Baby Fromage Frais apple, pear, carrot with oats (4x60g, use by 28/05/2026)
Designer and Celebrity Perfume Recall
Savers Health and Beauty stores have recalled 15 fragrances due to banned ingredients that may harm reproductive health, unborn children, and cause skin sensitivity. The perfumes contain hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde and butylphenyl methylpropional. Affected products include CK One, Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, and FCUK Original, among others.
