Trisha Goddard has revealed she is back in hospital for treatment related to her terminal breast cancer. The 68-year-old Celebrity Big Brother star shared an update with fans on Instagram, detailing her latest procedure.
Trisha's Hospital Update
Posting from her hospital bed, Goddard wrote: "Ho-hum…. Another day – another procedure! This time… Steroid injections in da batty to banish aches and pains that b***h Cancer left me as a nice “I Wuz Here” when dem was zapped to hell by radiation treatment!" She added that the injections are one of the few massive needles she is glad to see, joking about nurses warning her of "a little prick."
The presenter quipped that she has "encountered some bigger p***ks" in the past, adding: "Until me came to my senses, got feisty as f*** and divorced the hell outta them!" Goddard, who has been married four times, is known for her candid and humorous approach to her health struggles.
Cancer Battle and Palliative Care
Goddard was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer and has been receiving palliative care, which she describes as symptom treatment. She previously told The Mirror that her oncologist approved her participation in Celebrity Big Brother last year, coordinating her treatment around the show's schedule. "My oncologist is my biggest cheerleader and is working with the Big Brother team," she said. "I've got a special therapist who's happy to work with the medic on the show."
She explained that her palliative care team is working with the show's team, and she had to fly back for an infusion immediately after the show ended. Goddard also lives with Raynaud's syndrome, which restricts blood flow to her fingers and toes.
Reflecting on Diagnosis
Speaking previously about her terminal diagnosis, Goddard said on social media: "When you first hear those words, 'Your cancer has come back' and every time you look at the news, your eye seems to be drawn to the words cancer and terminal, you think that's it, but scientists and the Medical world have re-classified metastatic cancer to being a life limiting illness, for good reason."
Goddard is best known in the UK for hosting the ITV chat show Trisha from 1998 to 2004, which later moved to Channel 5. She also hosted a US version from 2012 to 2014 and appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2025.
