Morrisons has issued an urgent product recall for its Maple and Bacon Back of the Net snack, warning customers not to eat it due to a potential allergy risk. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) published a notice providing guidance for shoppers who purchased the football-themed savoury snack.
Recall Details
The FSA stated: "Morrisons is recalling Morrisons Maple and Bacon Back of the Net because some packs contain milk which is not mentioned on the label. Some packs may have been packed with the wrong product which contains milk." This makes the snack a possible health risk for anyone with a milk allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
Customers are instructed: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund."
Product Information
The affected product has a date of 22/8/26. Morrisons stated in its recall notice: "Morrisons is recalling product dated 22/8/26 as some packs may contain the wrong product, which contains milk that is not declared on the label. Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don't need a receipt." No other products are affected by this issue. The supermarket apologised for any inconvenience and assured customers of its commitment to product quality and safety.

This recall follows another earlier this week, when Morrisons was one of six supermarkets to recall fruit pots over potential salmonella contamination. Asda, Tesco, Waitrose, M&S, and Sainsbury's also recalled a variety of fruit products, affecting 13 different types. Salmonella Symptoms
A Food Standards Agency spokesman said: "If you have bought any of the products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund." Those infected with Salmonella typically experience fever, diarrhoea and stomach cramps. Anyone displaying these symptoms should remain at home, away from work, school or nursery, until they have been symptom-free for a minimum of 48 hours to prevent spreading the illness to others.
