Thailand as a Destination

Thailand is a popular holiday destination known for its beaches, temples, and culture. It appeals to young tourists seeking independence and adventure, but also ranks second in The Retirement Abroad Index for 2026, scoring a perfect 20 out of 20 in healthcare, alongside Spain and France. The Non-Immigrant O-A Visa requires health insurance coverage of at least $100,000 (approximately £74,000) per year.
