Clair Buckley, podcast host and former model, was rushed to hospital after being unable to move. The 38-year-old opened up about the health scare in the latest episode of her podcast, The Buckleys, which she co-hosts with her husband and The Inbetweeners star James Buckley.
Health Scare Revealed
The actress said she had been left feeling "so weak" after an unexplained virus. Clair said: "I've not been very well." James replied: "No, you ended up in the old hospital there, didn’t you? Didn’t an ambulance come and take you away?"
The Celebrity Gogglebox star explained what happened saying: "So basically it was some sort of virus that I had, but it was slowly sort of chipping away at me and I was getting more and more dehydrated and I didn’t even really know."
James Buckley's Reaction
At the time of the incident, James, who is well known for his role as Jay Cartwright in E4 sitcom, admitted he 'felt bad' as he wasn't there when it was happening.
He said: "I was working. And you were calling me up, sort of. I’d get to my hotel and I’d check, see how you’re getting on. You’d be going, ‘I’m really ill, I’m really sick’. And I was going, ‘Alright, see how you feel in the morning’. I came home and the only way I can describe you, you look like when little weak Lord Voldemort was being carried and he’s got his little thin little legs like hanging out and he’s got like a little shawl over him!"
Ambulance Called
The couple, who have been married since 2012, recalled the moment they had to call an ambulance. James said: "Got an ambulance, didn’t we? Because you couldn’t move, you couldn’t get in the car and stuff. You were so weak."
The pair, who share sons Harrison and Jude, continued: "Anyway, I got taken in and just got pumped full of fluids. There you go."
