Costco has recalled more than 200,000 pairs of 32 Degrees Heated Socks sold at its warehouses due to a risk of second-degree burns. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued the recall warning that the socks can cause injury when worn during high-intensity activities that generate friction, heat, moisture, and pressure.
Recall Details
The recall affects over 200,000 pairs of the heated socks, which were sold exclusively at Costco stores and on Costco.com. The CPSC reported 14 incidents of burns, including 13 cases of first or second-degree burns. Consumers are advised to immediately stop wearing the socks and return them to any Costco location for a full refund.
Recent Product Recalls
This recall follows another recent product recall involving approximately 740,000 Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pans sold at Costco, Walmart, and Amazon. The pans were recalled due to a metal cap on the handle detaching, posing a risk of injury.
Costco has urged customers to check their homes for the affected socks and to contact the company for further information. The recall underscores the importance of product safety and consumer vigilance.
