Greg Davies has revealed that his doctor issued a serious warning about his weight, advising him that 'something bad will happen' if he does not change his lifestyle. The 54-year-old comedian and actor admitted that while his size has provided material for his stand-up routines, he recognises it is not a reason to remain as he is physically.
Davies, who stars as Paul 'Wicky' Wickstead in the BBC One sitcom The Cleaner, shared the health warning ahead of the show's second series premiere on Friday. He also disclosed that he has been using Ozempic, a medication typically prescribed for type 2 diabetes but also used for weight loss, to help address his health concerns.
The comic expressed excitement about the new series, which features guest stars including Zoe Wanamaker, Asim Chaudhry, and Dame Harriet Walter. He joked that the BBC must have secrets to leverage such distinguished actors. Davies will also return as the Taskmaster for the 15th series of the hit game show, starting on Channel 4 on March 30.
Series two of The Cleaner airs on BBC One at 9.30pm on Friday, March 23, while Taskmaster returns at 9pm on Thursday, March 30.
