Blueiron £15.99 liquid iron drops praised for boosting energy

Shoppers using the Blueiron Liquid Iron Supplement with Nordic Blueberries and Vitamin C say they have noticed 'less fatigue' and 'more stable energy levels' after adding the drops to their daily routine. The product is available on Amazon for £15.99, an 11 per cent saving, with a 10ml serving from the 250ml bottle costing around 63p a day.

The supplement can be stirred into food or drinks and is described as being 'gentle on the stomach'. It contains iron which 'contributes to the reduction in tiredness and fatigue' according to Blueiron.

Iron's role in the body

Persistent exhaustion, sometimes referred to as TATT, or 'Tired All The Time', is something a growing number of people have come to regard as an unavoidable feature of contemporary life. Yet iron performs a vital function within the body, including normal oxygen transport and the formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, meaning maintaining adequate levels can be crucial for overall wellbeing, as reported by Birmingham Live.

Blueiron has also introduced its High Strength Drops 50ml, likewise available on Amazon for £13. The higher strength formulation contains 142 per cent of an adult's recommended daily intake of iron and the brand claims they are 'perfect for those with lower iron levels to provide the extra strength boost required'.

Meanwhile, the original Blueiron Liquid Iron Supplement With Nordic Blueberries + Vitamin C is made with Nordic blueberries that the brand states are 'harvested by hand in the Finnish wilderness for their unique flavour'. It also includes Vitamin C which contributes to increased iron absorption.

Shopper reviews

Returning to the Blueiron Liquid Iron Supplement With Nordic Blueberries + Vitamin C, it has a 4.3 star rating on Amazon, with over 600 bottles sold in the past month. As part of a detailed review, Danish said: "I've tried a few iron supplements before, but this one actually works and tastes decent too (which is rare for iron products!). The Nordic blueberry flavour is natural and not too harsh, making the daily spoonful easy to take. The formula contains not just iron but also Vitamin C for better absorption, B12 for energy, folic acid and zinc - all without nasty side effects."

"After using it consistently for a few weeks, I genuinely noticed less fatigue and more stable energy levels - that 3pm slump became way easier to power through. My recent bloodwork also showed improved iron levels, which I wasn't even expecting so fast. Overall, five stars from me - this isn't just another iron supplement, it's one that actually makes a difference. Would definitely recommend if you want a gentle, effective boost that fits easily into your daily routine."

David commented: "I love this product, Blueiron Liquid Iron Supplement is above any beyond the standard of other Supplements with its delicious Nordic Blueberries and Vitamin C, B12, Folic Acid. I would say this is the best Iron Supplement on the market."

Nacu posted: "Blueberry flavor doesn't fully cover the bloody taste of an iron supplement but it does help. Very thick liquid almost like gel. Used it in the second trimester of my pregnancy and it worked great."

However, Monique wrote: "Great taste. A bit like fruit juice. Easy to take for kids and adults but I can't say i have noticed a difference."

Another Amazon shopper added: "I decided to try this iron/ vit supplement after feeling depleted of energy for a very long time. My blood tests said I was not anaemic. I have taken other multivits with iron before and it made no difference. However, this has really hit the spot!"

"Maybe it's because it's a liquid or due to the combination of vits, I don't know, but after just a few days I have noticed my energy levels are so much better. I am feeling refreshed in the morning and able to get up early and in the evening I am not running out of energy. It does have a metallic aftertaste but that is easily dealt with by having a few grapes or something after! I will be buying it again."
