A British healthcare worker has tested positive for Ebola while working in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is reportedly due to be sent back to the UK for treatment.
Foreign Office statement
In a statement, a Foreign Office spokesperson said: "A British citizen currently in the DRC has tested positive for Ebola. The risk to the UK public from Ebola remains low."
The patient contracted the virus while on duty as a healthcare worker in the DRC.
