Tanya Bardsley's Daily Diet: The Simple Meals Keeping Her Bikini-Ready at 44
Tanya Bardsley reveals her daily diet for a slim figure

Reality television star Tanya Bardsley has pulled back the curtain on the everyday eating habits that help her maintain a notably slim and toned figure. The 44-year-old, famed for her appearance on The Real Housewives of Cheshire and her enviable, bikini-ready physique, detailed her typical daily menu and the unexpected foods she steers clear of.

A Day on Tanya Bardsley's Plate

Despite the hectic schedule of being a mother to four children, Tanya has managed to keep her impressive washboard abs. She explained her dietary routine, which focuses on simplicity and convenience. Her day begins with a green powdered juice and a banana, a combination she says sets her up perfectly.

By late morning, around 11 am, she often opts for eggs on brown bread, though she notes she is just as content to eat them plain. Lunch is typically straightforward, as her husband, former footballer Phil Bardsley, often brings it home for her. She gave an example, stating, "Yesterday, it was a ham, onion and tomato baguette."

For the evening meal, the family prefers something hearty sourced from a local farm shop, such as chicken with vegetables. However, Tanya candidly admitted to Closer magazine that when time is short, they frequently turn to food delivery services. "I'm scared to check how much we've spent over the years - it's probably a small mortgage!" she joked.

Surprising Foods She Avoids

In a revelation that may surprise many, Tanya Bardsley actively avoids most fruits. She stated that they "tend to bloat me" and expressed a particular distaste for raspberries, quipping that they "taste like they've got tiny hairs on them."

Her dietary disclosure comes alongside similar insights from fellow celebrity Sherrie Hewson. The former Loose Women panellist shared that she often skips breakfast but, when she does eat it, chooses sourdough topped with crushed avocado seasoned with olive oil, garlic, basil, or chilli. For lunch, she favours a large, well-seasoned salad, sometimes with tuna, while dinner is frequently a teriyaki chicken stir-fry with coconut rice.

Life Beyond the Diet: Health and Family

Tanya's life extends far beyond dietary choices. Last year, she, Phil, and their four children—Gabriella, Rocco, Renz, and Ralphi—starred in their own ITV reality series, The Bardsley Bunch, which documented their family life.

More significantly, the model has spoken openly about a serious health battle. She was diagnosed with adenomyosis, a painful condition where tissue grows into the muscular wall of the uterus, causing intense pain and heavy bleeding. Tanya described the pain as being "more agonising than labour" and recalled "panting in pain."

She explained that the condition emerged amidst managing ADHD and the onset of perimenopause. "It was worse than labour but just constant," she reflected, adding that it severely impacted her mood and sense of self. "I missed the old me, I was quite easy going," Tanya said, highlighting the profound effect chronic health issues can have on daily life.
