Man's 14.5 Stone Weight Loss Using 'Ultimate Cheat Code' Revealed
Man loses 14.5 stone with 'ultimate cheat code'

A man who once spent £300 weekly on junk food and consumed a staggering 7,000 calories daily has unveiled the simple secret that helped him lose an incredible 14.5 stone.

Alex Williams, a 33-year-old from Wales, saw his weight escalate to over 30 stone after a teenage rugby injury halted his athletic pursuits. His weight struggles began in his mid-teens, where he was already wearing 46-inch waist trousers and turning to comfort foods like sausage rolls, frozen pizzas, and endless takeaways.

From Secret Eating To Life Change

Mr Williams described his former eating habits as relentless. 'I could easily polish off eight sausage rolls in a pack which was ridiculous,' he admitted. His diet consisted of frozen pizzas, KFC, and large Domino's pizzas, accompanied by secret eating sessions. 'I was spending up to £300 a week on sh** food,' he revealed, recalling how he would visit McDonald's before eating a full dinner with his family.

This lifestyle left him breathless climbing stairs, ashamed to change in rugby rooms, and fearful of holidays where he might need to remove his shirt. The turning point arrived in 2018 following a painful break-up, when a friend encouraged him to join Man V Fat, a football-based weight loss programme.

The Transformation Journey

Embracing the challenge, Mr Williams completely overhauled his diet. He replaced his 7,000-calorie days of fried breakfasts, burgers, and biscuits with nutritious meals centred around steak, salmon, and chicken. He now plays five football matches weekly and maintains a regular gym schedule.

Through years of dedication, he achieved a remarkable transformation, dropping from 28st 2lbs to 13st 9lbs—losing more than half his body weight. Standing at 5'9", his BMI plummeted from 58 (super obese) to 28 (overweight).

The 'Ultimate Cheat Code' For Sugar Cravings

One of his biggest breakthroughs came from conquering his sweet tooth. Instead of nightly chocolate bars, he discovered frozen grapes, which he describes as his 'ultimate cheat code'. 'Frozen grapes are the ultimate cheat code—candy-floss grapes, those frozen,' he explained. 'They are insane and they keep [your cravings] all at bay.'

This simple diet swap is effective for several reasons: it encourages portion control as they're too cold to eat quickly, and grapes are naturally rich in fibre, antioxidants, and vitamins.

Mr Williams emphasises that consistency and accountability were crucial to his success, particularly through the team-based approach of Man V Fat. 'When you have a rubbish week it doesn't just affect you anymore, it affects the men on your team too, they hold you accountable,' he said.

Reflecting on his journey, he shared: 'I feel amazing, I feel like a completely different person. It's given me a completely different outlook.' Having overcome years of yo-yo dieting, he now maintains his weight at 13st 7lbs, finally confident and happy in his own skin.
