Woman, 32, sheds 14 stone and spends £23,750 on life-changing surgery to remove excess skin

A woman who lost 14 stone in four years has undergone £23,750 worth of surgery to remove excess skin, leaving her unrecognisable. Ceara Crawford, 32, from Saint Paul, Minnesota, said she felt 'trapped' by the loose skin on her stomach, back, arms, and breasts after her dramatic weight loss.

In January 2021, Ceara had a tummy tuck and breast lift, reducing her bra size from 46G to 34C. Eight months later, she underwent a Brazilian butt lift with liposuction 360 and J Plasma to tighten the skin. Doctors removed half a stone of excess skin measuring three feet wide.

Ceara, a talent acquisition manager, said she struggled with her weight for most of her life. 'I woke up one morning and realised that if I didn't change something, I was going to die,' she said. After splitting with her ex, she changed her habits, worked on sobriety, and lost 14 stone in four years.

Despite the weight loss, she was left with extreme excess skin. 'I felt like I would never be able to escape the girl I had been before,' she said. After surgery, she went from a size 26 to a size 6/8. 'The surgeries were absolutely life changing and set me free,' she added.

Ceara now follows the keto diet and enjoys weightlifting, running, and yoga. She said losing weight reversed her type 2 diabetes and asthma. 'It takes time, dedication, failing, and learning to transform yourself,' she advised.
