Maresca press conference LIVE: Man City injury news vs Ipswich

Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca will address the media this afternoon ahead of tomorrow's Premier League fixture against Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium.

The Italian is expected to provide injury updates for the clash with the newly promoted side, with the focus shifting back to on-field matters after the noise around the charges settled down. Compared to last week, this should be a more routine media briefing.

Team news and injury updates

Maresca made a triple change at the break in the midweek defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, with Jeremy Doku, Rayan Cherki and Ruben Dias all replaced. The substitutions were likely tactical rather than injury-related.

Ayyoub Bouaddi's introduction from the bench against PSG drew praise, as his involvement helped change the game in City's favour. Maresca may clarify whether the midfielder has earned a start for the weekend.

Maresca on PSG defeat

Maresca believes Manchester City are 'close' to the level of Paris Saint-Germain after going toe-to-toe with the Champions League winners for 45 minutes. The Blues were 3-0 down after the first half at the Etihad but rallied, ultimately losing by two goals.

PSG boss Luis Enrique, who had backed City's past achievements ahead of the game despite their guilty verdict in the 115 case, told Maresca at the end that his side had been lucky to leave with the result they did.

"I really like to play against PSG, to be honest because they are brave, I know they way they want to press, they don't care, they go man to man on the pitch, they are quite dynamic," said Maresca. "I like to play against them and I think we are there, to be honest."

Guardiola reunion

Pep Guardiola may also be brought up after his return to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday. Maresca confirmed he did not meet with his friend before the game, but they could have spoken afterwards.

Maresca is due to sit down with the media at around 1.30pm (UK time), with all his comments to be covered live.
