The patient went to considerable lengths to contact Dr Khan, including finding his workplace and waiting in a phone queue, only to discover the promise was a cruel hoax.
Dr Khan emphasised that this is not an isolated case. He has repeatedly spoken out about scammers using artificial intelligence to manipulate his image and voice, creating videos that promote bogus health products claiming to cure various illnesses. Despite his efforts to have these videos removed, they persistently reappear online, targeting vulnerable individuals.

The GP made a clear distinction between his authentic content and the fraudulent material. "I cannot - that is not me. It is AI imagery, and this is the damage it causes," he explained. "I don't care what this does to me, but I care about vulnerable people who trust my advice being targeted this way," he added, underscoring his commitment to patient welfare over personal reputation.
