Robbie Williams' Shirtless Beach Snap Reveals 2 Stone Weight Loss Journey
Robbie Williams flaunts physique after 2 stone weight loss

Robbie Williams has proudly displayed his dramatically transformed physique in a sizzling shirtless photograph taken on a beach, shared by his wife Ayda Fields on Monday. The 51-year-old singer, once mockingly called 'Blobby Williams', revealed his slimmed-down frame and extensive tattoo collection while posing in swimming trunks.

A Wife's Proud Tribute and a Lifelong Struggle

Ayda Fields, 46, proudly posted the snap to her Instagram, captioning it '@robbiewilliams #thirsttrap AW xx' in clear appreciation of her husband's buff body. In the shot, Robbie smiles to himself, gazing into the distance while wearing a baseball cap and oversized sunglasses.

This confident display follows years of a very public and painful battle with body dysmorphia, a mental health condition involving obsessive worry over perceived physical flaws. The former Take That star has been remarkably open about his struggles, having shed an impressive two stone in recent years with the aid of weight loss injections.

The Road to Transformation: From 'Morbidly Obese' to Weight Loss Jabs

Robbie has confessed to an 'addictive nature', particularly struggling with sugar intake and healthy eating, a theme he humorously addressed in his 2013 track 'No One Likes A Fat Pop Star'. His weight issues escalated after leaving Take That in 1995, entering a period where he frequently got high and made poor dietary choices.

'I rented a flat. I went to the supermarket on my first shop. Once. Stoned,' he recalled on his podcast. 'I opened the fridge and there was this whole Mr Kipling cake. And I can remember this moment going, 'Hang on, I don't live with my mum. I can eat all that cake.'' He stated that by the following February, he was 'morbidly obese'.

Recently, the father-of-four has credited his significant weight loss—from 13st 13lb to 12st 1lb—to using an appetite suppressant, 'something like Ozempic'. He joked about being diagnosed with 'type 2 self-loathing' and explained that being overweight is 'shockingly catastrophic' for his mental health.

The High Cost of Change: Scurvy and Fears of Blindness

While the weight loss jabs have eased his 'constant mental anguish', they have come with severe physical side effects. Earlier this year, Robbie revealed he was diagnosed with scurvy, a disease caused by vitamin C deficiency, after he stopped eating almost entirely. He misconstrued loved ones' concerns about his thinness as praise, a distortion fuelled by his body dysmorphia.

More alarmingly, last month he expressed fears that the injections—which he confirmed were Mounjaro—were rapidly deteriorating his eyesight. He first noticed issues at an American football game where players appeared as 'just shapes on the field'. Despite this worrying symptom and being warned a friend of a fan had 'gone blind from the jab', Robbie admitted his body image issues were so severe he'd likely continue until he lost sight in one eye completely.

Alongside the medication, Robbie has overhauled his lifestyle, incorporating daily workouts, stretching, and strength training. His journey remains a stark and candid look at the extreme lengths taken to combat deep-seated body image issues, even at significant risk to physical health.
