Perrie Edwards Reveals Agoraphobia Struggle

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has opened up about her struggle with anxiety and panic attacks, revealing that the condition became so severe she was unable to leave her home. In a candid Instagram post, the singer described feeling like she was 'losing her mind' when the symptoms first began.

Edwards, 25, said her first panic attack was so intense that she thought she was having a heart attack. 'I felt so alone and like I was the first person in the world to ever experience it,' she wrote. The singer explained that while the panic attacks have stopped, she still battles anxiety and believes she always will.

She credited therapy and reducing her time on social media as key factors in her recovery. 'I restricted my time on social media which often made me feel trapped and claustrophobic,' she said. Edwards also emphasised the importance of sharing feelings, stating that 'venting your feelings is healthy.'

The post received an outpouring of support from fellow Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock, her boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke. Edwards concluded her message by urging others not to hide their struggles: 'I suffer from anxiety and I want you to all know if you suffer from anxiety you're not alone.'
