Tributes Pour In for Beloved Mental Health Worker
The community of Moredon in Swindon has been left in shock after the tragic death of Sarah Forrester, a dedicated mental health worker described by friends as 'wonderfully kind'. The mother-of-two, who was in her early 50s, was found unresponsive at her home on Saturday following reports of disorder at the property.
Police were called to her pale brown pebbledash-fronted three-bedroom home in Baydon Close, where they discovered the popular charity worker deceased. The entrance to the property remains cordoned off with police tape, with an officer standing guard at the gate as investigations continue.
Teenage Girl Arrested in Connection
In a shocking development, Wiltshire Police confirmed they have arrested a 13-year-old girl on suspicion of murder. The teenager has since been released on bail while enquiries continue. Authorities have stated they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Detective Inspector Darren Ambrose from the Major Crime Investigation Team addressed the seriousness of the situation: 'This is a serious incident in which a woman has sadly died. We have set up a cordon at the address while an investigation is carried out.'
He added: 'We would encourage people not to speculate on the circumstances around this incident. We appreciate the concern that this may cause the local community.'
Neighbours Remember 'Big-Hearted' Woman
Next-door neighbour Daniella Silva, 29, shared her distress, revealing she had heard someone shouting at Sarah just days before her death. 'The next day Sarah called round and apologised for the argument,' Silva recalled. 'Sarah did not deserve to be treated like that. She was a wonderfully kind, big-hearted woman.'
Another neighbour, Kerry Marsh, 53, who also works in mental health, described Sarah as 'an incredibly kind person' with 'a big, warm heart'. Marsh, who had been friends with Sarah for seven years, said: 'I am not going to speculate on what may have happened, but Sarah was a wonderful friend.'
The Kelly Foundation, where Sarah worked, released a heartfelt statement expressing their devastation: 'Everyone at The Kelly Foundation is heartbroken at the sudden loss of our lovely Sarah. She was completely committed to the charity and devoted to her two young children.'
The statement continued: 'Sarah was pivotal in the work that we do here at the Kelly Foundation and her loss is a hugely traumatic event, not just for us and her colleagues but more especially for her children and family.'
Describing her character, the foundation added: 'Sarah was an incredible person, kind, thoughtful, considerate, caring and funny and she embodied everything that we hope our charity is and can be.'
Police continue to conduct house-to-house enquiries in Baydon Close while maintaining an increased presence in the area. Authorities have confirmed there is no wider risk to the public and that the victim's next of kin have been informed.
