Loose Women viewers will see a slightly different schedule change most days this week, as the ITV programme extends its broadcast by 15 minutes each day from Monday, June 29, except on Thursday, July 2. Panellist Kaye Adams explained the modification during the most recent episode, informing viewers: "We're with you for a bit longer today, our own extra time due to the World Cup."
Extended Episodes and Summer Series
The ITV programme, which typically broadcasts for 30 weeks annually from 12:30pm to 1:30pm following This Morning, will lengthen its episodes for the rest of the week. Kaye outlined what audiences could anticipate from the extended broadcasts, saying: "So all this week, in our series, Sort Out Your Summer, we're delving into some of your favourite topics. We've got experts on everything, from the royals to finance and health to skincare."
During the extended episode, the panel welcomed presenter Laura Whitmore, who discussed her true crime podcast with husband Iain Stirling. Kaye noted: "Today we are joined by presenter Laura Whitmore, who, herself, has become a bit of an expert on her favourite subject, and it has to be said, Denise's (Welch) favourite subject, true crime."
Laura Whitmore Discusses New Baby
Before discussing the podcast, the panel acknowledged Laura's new arrival. Kaye remarked: "Well done on getting out of the house, baby is only a month old?" Laura replied: "I know, even looking at that clip, we pre-recorded quite a lot of the podcast, I think I'm nine months pregnant there! So it's funny, I forgot what life is like out. It's been lovely so far. You get that guilt, and it's the first time away. I'm a little bit tired, I'm not going to lie!"
Laura told the panel that with her second child, they already had a routine from raising their eldest, who is four years old. When asked how her older child was adjusting to the arrival of a younger sibling, Laura responded: "She's amazing, it's quite helpful because sometimes I can't reach down and pick up things, they do! Basically, I have a mini PA who is helping me out. I just don't have to pay her, it's great!"
Baby Arrival and Social Media Announcement
Laura and her husband Iain welcomed their second child in May, with the presenter sharing the joyful news on social media. Posting an adorable photograph of her newborn's hand, Laura described the arrival as 'unexpectedly early and with dramatic flair'.
