Kai Trump Reveals Scary Allergic Reaction During Masters Tournament
Kai Trump's Scary Masters Allergic Reaction

President Donald Trump's eldest granddaughter, Kai Trump, has revealed a frightening medical episode she experienced while attending The Masters tournament at Augusta National Golf Course in Georgia. The avid golfer, who plans to play for the University of Miami in the fall, shared details of the incident in a recent vlog.

Scary Allergic Reaction

Kai, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, explained that she used hand soap on her face to remove makeup while at Augusta. Soon after, she noticed bumps forming on her neck. The rash worsened rapidly, prompting her to seek emergency medical treatment. A doctor administered a steroid to manage the symptoms.

“I was using hand soap on my face, when I was at Augusta, to wash off my makeup and I started getting these bumps on my neck,” she recounted. “Now, I don’t have a rash anymore but I had an allergic reaction to the hand soap on my face. I have very sensitive skin. It was so, so scary.”

Despite the health scare, the rest of her trip reportedly went smoothly. Rory McIlroy, who completed his career Grand Slam at the Masters last year, won the tournament again, finishing one stroke ahead of Scottie Scheffler.

Golf Career and Recovery

Kai Trump has been actively pursuing a golf career. She recently underwent wrist surgery to address injuries to the stabilizing tissues of her ECU tendon and damage to her fibrocartilage complex. In January, she wrote, “Today, I underwent left wrist surgery... I look forward to my rehab in the coming months, I am excited for the ability to play golf pain free.”

She made her LPGA debut at The ANNIKA tournament at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, in November 2025. Although she finished last place on the first day, she improved by eight strokes on the second, finishing with a two-round score of 18-over 158.

“The more golf I play, the better I’ll do. Getting experience. Miami gave me a great opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to that,” she told Fox News in July.
