British influencer and YouTuber Emily Canham has joyfully announced the arrival of her first child. The 28-year-old, originally from Kettering but now based in Los Angeles, shared the happy news with her more than one million followers this Sunday.

Emily Canham chose to mark the occasion with a heartfelt Instagram post. Standing beside a pram while dressed in all black, she wrote, 'Welcome to the world, little one.' She deliberately chose not to reveal the baby's gender, focusing instead on her positive birth experience.
The new mother described her labour and delivery as 'the most incredible' experience, expressing immense gratitude after what she revealed was a pretty difficult pregnancy. She is now dedicating her time to learning how to be a parent and soaking up every moment with her newborn.
From Pregnancy Announcement to Parenthood
Emily first announced her pregnancy in August of last year, telling her followers on TikTok and Instagram that she 'couldn't be more excited'. She shared her overwhelming happiness, stating, 'I’ve never been more excited for a chapter in my life.' She also highlighted the significance of family and her excitement about starting her own with her fiancé, Mark, a California-based entrepreneur who co-founded the sustainability company Newlight Technologies.
Offering a touch of relatable humour to her followers, she added a note on newborn fatigue, comparing it to 'your first all nighter sleepover when you were 10… just night after night.'
A New Chapter in Los Angeles
This new chapter comes after Emily's split from Busted musician James Bourne in 2023. A source at the time confirmed that both had 'called it quits and are each happily moving on with their lives.' Prior to her relationship with Bourne, Emily was in a public three-year relationship with fellow YouTuber Jake Boys, which ended in 2017.
Her relationship with Bourne, which began after they were friends for about a year, was initially taken slowly due to their 14-year age gap. Emily had previously admitted she wasn't a fan of Busted's music during their initial fame, only discovering it later. The couple had maintained separate homes in the UK and LA to accommodate their demanding careers.
Now, Emily is embracing motherhood in Los Angeles, describing herself as 'happy, healthy, grateful, and so incredibly content' in her new role.
