Comedian and TV presenter Joel Dommett gave his followers a hilarious glimpse into his home life this weekend, sharing a video of the chaotic struggle to help his pregnant wife, Hannah, out of a glamorous dress.
A Silvery Struggle and Shared Laughter
In the clip posted to Instagram on Saturday, Hannah, 35, looked stunning in a sparkling silver halter neck dress after a night out. The challenge began upon her return home, as the form-fitting garment refused to cooperate with her growing baby bump. Joel, 40, stepped in to assist, leading to a fit of giggles for both.
As Hannah wiggled and shimmied, Joel attempted to slide the dress over her shoulders, comparing the scene to "a snake that's eaten a badger." He jokingly exclaimed he might "take your skin off," adding, "What is going on, it's like you're in an insulation pipe." Hannah, breathless with laughter, pleaded, "Please pull it because I'm stuck, oh my hair," and admitted she was worried she might "wet myself."
The ordeal ended successfully, with Joel finally freeing Hannah and humorously declaring, "it's a girl!" He captioned the heartwarming post, "Does my bump look big in this?"
Growing Family and Australian Adventure
The couple first announced they were expecting their second child in an Instagram post last November. The sweet photo showed Joel, Hannah, and their two-year-old son, Wilde, caressing her bump, with the caption: "Baby in mumma tummy. Hard to keep secrets with a toddler around."
Their famous friends, including Sian Welby and Jess Wright, quickly flooded the comments with congratulations. The family are currently in Australia, where Joel is presenting the I'm A Celebrity spin-off show, I'm A Celebrity: Unpacked, with Kemi Rogers.
Joel had previously told The Mirror he was excited to have his family join him Down Under, saying, "This year I'm taking my family with me, so it's going to be great getting home from work and being able to see them." Hannah recently posted an Instagram update showcasing their month of beach walks, swimming lessons, and family time, noting her "decaf cup is FULL."
A Love Story that Began in the DMs
Joel and Hannah's romance began after his stint on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2016. Hannah slid into his direct messages, they went on a first date days later, and immediately hit it off. Three years after that, they married in a romantic beach ceremony in Mykonos. They welcomed their first child, Wilde, in September 2023, and are now eagerly awaiting the arrival of baby number two.
