Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell delighted fans this Sunday by sharing a series of intimate throwback photographs from the early stages of her pregnancy. The 36-year-old, who is expecting her first child with her YouTuber boyfriend Joe Sugg, posted the glamorous snaps to her Instagram account.
A Glamorous Secret Backstage
The radiant mum-to-be posed in a figure-hugging, sheer black catsuit during a pre-show photoshoot, a look she has now revisited to chart her bump's progress. In the images, her signature fiery red hair was styled in loose waves as she posed barefoot backstage. Alongside the album, Buswell penned a heartfelt caption explaining the significance of the moment.
"Back when we filmed this number, I hadn't told any of the pros that I was pregnant yet it was my little secret," she wrote. "Last night I found my outfit on the rack and thought I would do a growth chart… he's certainly grown." The couple first announced they were expecting back in September.
Pregnancy on the Strictly Dance Floor
Dianne Buswell has made Strictly Come Dancing history this series by becoming the first professional dancer to compete while pregnant. Although her celebrity partner, Stefan Dennis, was later forced to withdraw due to injury, Buswell has continued to perform in group numbers with her fellow professionals.
In a recent midweek update, the dancer humorously acknowledged that concealing her growing bump was becoming a challenge. Wearing a fitted black one-piece and sunglasses, she mimed to the camera: "No body is going to know..." before turning to display her profile and adding, "They're going to know." She captioned the post: "Getting dressed for rehearsals is getting a little harder these days."
Celebrating Female Strength with Nadiya Bychkova
The throwback post also featured fellow Strictly professional Nadiya Bychkova, who modelled the same daring catsuit. Bychkova added a pair of black lace-up boots and styled her blonde hair in a 1950s-inspired look for her own stunning series of snaps.
Sharing her photos, Nadiya wrote: "Pop… Six… Squish… Uh uh… Cicero… Lipschitz. Fierce, fiery, unapologetically bold. There's something magical about dancing beside strong, unapologetic women." The post served as a powerful celebration of female artistry and strength within the Strictly company.
