Police have launched an investigation after a teenage girl was found dead in the water at Kingsbury Water Park in Warwickshire on Bank Holiday Monday.
Incident Details
Officers were dispatched to Bodymoor Heath Lane shortly after 6pm on Monday, May 25. Emergency services responded after concerns were raised about a teenage girl in the water. A search was conducted across Kingsbury Water Park, leading to the discovery of a body at approximately 7.20pm. Paramedics fought desperately to save the girl, but she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have since been notified.
Police Statement
A spokesman for Atherstone and Coleshill Police said: "We can confirm that, sadly, the body of a teenage girl was recovered from the water shortly after 7.20pm. Despite the efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed, and they are being supported by specially trained officers. Over the coming days, we will have officers in the area providing reassurance, so if you have any questions, please speak to them."
