Capital FM morning show presenter Aimee Vivian has revealed the terrifying medical emergency that saw her hospitalised with sepsis after what began as routine mastitis rapidly escalated into a life-threatening condition.
The popular radio host, known to listeners across the UK, shared her harrowing experience to raise awareness about the dangers of dismissing early symptoms and the importance of seeking immediate medical attention.
The Rapid Descent from Discomfort to Danger
"It started with what I thought was just ordinary mastitis," Vivian explained, detailing how what began as typical breastfeeding discomfort quickly transformed into something far more sinister. "Within hours, I went from feeling unwell to being genuinely frightened for my life."
The condition progressed at an alarming rate, with Vivian experiencing severe symptoms that included intense shaking, high fever, and overwhelming fatigue that signalled her body was fighting a systemic infection.
