In a raw and heartfelt caption, the reality TV personality wrote, 'This year gave us so much and took so much at the same time.' He described the happiness of their engagement and creating cherished memories, but swiftly turned to the couple's unimaginable grief.
'It was also the hardest year we've ever faced,' Goldsmith continued. 'Losing our sweet Olive and the endless hospital visits changed us in ways we never expected. There were days that felt impossibly heavy, and moments where just getting through was enough.'
The Tragic Loss of Baby Olive
Bill Goldsmith and Isabelle Eisermann first announced the tragic loss of their daughter, Olive May Goldsmith, in November. In a separate post, they revealed she was born sleeping on Thursday, 31st October at 4.14am at 27 weeks.
The couple paid tribute to their daughter's fighting spirit, stating she continued to surprise medical staff with her strength. They also shared the haunting impact of the moment they received the news, writing, 'The words 'I'm sorry, there is no heartbeat' will haunt us forever.'
They spent three precious days with Olive in hospital, cuddling, reading, singing to her, and taking her outside. 'Leaving Olive was the hardest thing we will ever have to do,' they wrote. 'No parent should ever have to say goodbye to their baby or walk out of the hospital without them.'
Carrying Olive Forward
Concluding his latest post, Goldsmith wrote, 'These photos hold the joy, the love, the heartbreak, and the strength it took to keep going. Carrying Olive with us in everything we do, always.' The couple, who got engaged in July, had first shared their exciting pregnancy news in September, with Isabelle posting 'Baby Goldsmith arriving Jan 2026!' Goldsmith rose to fame as a contestant on Ali Oetjen's season of The Bachelorette in 2018.
