Woman with 30U breasts says no one takes her seriously

Summer Robert, a 28-year-old from Glasgow who says she has the biggest breasts in the UK, has spoken publicly about the downsides of her rare condition, saying she is never taken seriously as a person.

Robert has macromastia, a medical condition marked by excessively large breasts, and grew 11 cup sizes last year alone after a hormonal peak. She has a 30U bust and explained: "It basically means that my breasts just won't stop growing which is crazy."

Years of misdiagnosis and harassment

She began developing breasts at age eight, which she says has led to men oversexualising her and some women disliking her. The condition is extremely rare, and between the ages of 12 and 25 she visited six different doctors in Scotland, none of whom could identify the problem.

Now living in Brisbane, Australia, Robert spoke to Soft White Underbelly about her experiences, including an incident at a restaurant where she used to work. While pulling drinks at the bar, two men came in and harassed her, making inappropriate comments about her breast size and calling her the "Scottish Dolly Parton". She had to ask a chef to help remove them because they would not take her seriously.

Turning point and earnings

She said: "I think that's my main thing. No one takes me seriously. So I'm 4ft 11 and I have these big boobs. No one takes… It just looks ridiculous. So no one takes me seriously ever. That's my main quam about it. I'm just not a serious person."

That same evening, the chef encouraged her to set up an OnlyFans account, and she soon began earning significant money from her bust. She now makes up to $150,000 (£113,000) per month, a figure she notes is striking compared with the average annual wage in Scotland of £40,000.

Ongoing challenges

Robert has learned to love her body and says her unusually large breasts have earned her a serious income. But challenges remain. When her best friend recently got married, she could not wear the bridesmaid dress because it would not fit. She also bought a new bra a month ago and has already outgrown it.

She listed other downsides: "I think the negative attention I get. I get a lot of catcalling. I have really bad back pain or shoulder pain."

There is no guarantee her breasts will not regrow after a reduction, so she is postponing surgery until she has no other choice. On dating, she said she is single and explained: "I think dating's hard because a lot of boys are kind of insecure. I feel if you're walking with your girlfriend, you don't want other guys to be staring at her. And any time I'm walking on the street, guys are staring at me."

Making female friends is also difficult, she said: "It's awful because I've had female friends and I've been on like double dates with them and I've caught their boyfriend looking at my boobs and I've caught the girlfriend looking at the boyfriend looking at my boobs and knowing that it's causing an argument after it. So it's so hard to keep a friend that's a girl. But I have a really good circle around me so I don't think I need any more female friends."
