Comedian Bobby Davro has revealed he is battling prostate cancer, despite experiencing no obvious symptoms. The 67-year-old, who lost his fiancée Vicky Wright to the disease three years ago, shared his diagnosis on ITV's This Morning.
Davro said a close friend urged him to get a PSA test, which led to the discovery. He explained: 'My doctor told me mine was a bit swollen so I had the PSA test and it was 24, which wasn't good at all.' He added that the NHS had been 'fantastic' and a biopsy showed the cancer was 'intermediate'.
When asked about symptoms, Davro mentioned erectile dysfunction as the only sign. He quipped: 'I used to take one every night when I was in bed. Not to have sex. It stops me rolling out the bed.'
This is not Davro's first health scare. He suffered a haemorrhagic stroke in January 2024 while performing on stage in Coulsdon, south London. He now takes daily medication and continues to use humour to cope.
