Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden left viewers in tears on Celebrity Hunted as she spoke about her breast cancer diagnosis and her dream of becoming a mother.
The BBC ballroom professional, who is taking part in the Channel 4 series, emotionally discussed the uncertainty of whether she will be able to have children after her cancer treatment.
Emotional revelation
"I've always wanted the honour to be a mum," she said. "And obviously I don't know if that's going to be possible."
Amy, diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, continued: "A cancer diagnosis changes your life forever. I'd just got married, I had my whole life ahead of me, and all of a sudden my world fell apart in front of me."
Amy revealed her diagnosis in May 2023 and underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy.
Support from fellow dancer
On the show, which sees celebrities evade a team of expert trackers, Amy competes alongside dancer Carlos Gu. He praised her strength, saying: "Amy's the strongest woman that I've ever met. She has completely inspired me in every level."
He added: "I don't know if I could do exactly what she did."
