Veterinarians and staff from the Natural Resources Conservation Agency evacuated a wild Sumatran tiger in Agam, West Sumatra, Indonesia, to prevent potential conflict with humans. Sumatran tigers are listed as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, with fewer than 400 estimated to remain in the wild.

Flamingos were inside a corral during the annual ringing of chicks at Fuente de Piedra Lagoon, in Málaga, Spain. The ringing is a scientific activity carried out with the support of hundreds of volunteers. During the process, the chicks are captured, examined, monitored and fitted with identification rings to enable researchers to track their movements, survival, breeding success and population dynamics.
