Astonish had a watery consistency and was left on for 10 minutes. Despite initial doubts, it removed mould in a single wipe, leaving grout clean but slightly discoloured. Bull noted it didn't penetrate as deeply as HG, but called it outstanding value at £2.
HG: Best Overall Performance
HG Mould Spray was foamy, clung well, and took 30 minutes. It had a strong bleach smell but required only a brief rinse. The mould dissolved visibly, and grout was left brilliantly white. Bull praised its ease of use and deep cleaning.
Mould Magic: Effective but Time-Consuming
Mould Magic had a thick gel consistency and mild scent. It needed two to three hours to work and left a residue that was tricky to remove. It was effective on mould but not as convenient. Bull still recommends it for silicone sealant.
Verdict
