Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director who lasted just 11 days in the role, has created a £49 online course aimed at helping young professionals navigate failure. The course, titled 'The Resilience Lab', is designed for Generation Z and launched this month, according to Bloomberg.
Scaramucci, known as 'The Mooch', draws on his own high-profile failures, including being fired by Donald Trump in 2017 after an expletive-laden interview with The New Yorker. He also references early Bitcoin losses and a business partnership with convicted crypto fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried.
On the course website, Scaramucci writes: 'I failed the bar exam twice after graduating from Harvard Law School. I was fired from the White House after just 11 days and became a global punchline. Each time, I got back up, learned the lesson and came back stronger.'
The course includes five modules covering topics such as handling rejection, managing ego, and projecting confidence. In one video, Scaramucci recalls the public humiliation of his White House firing, saying he was 'blown through the front door of the White House, skinned alive and then rolled in Margarita salt'.
Scaramucci, who has since distanced himself from Trump and endorsed Kamala Harris, says the course is free for those who cannot afford it. 'There’s no course in high school, there’s no course in college that teaches this,' he told Bloomberg.
