Children's Sand Kits Recalled Over Asbestos

Two children's sand kits were removed from sale in the UK after consumer group Which? found they contained tremolite asbestos. One kit, marketed as a Montessori sand art tray, was sold on Amazon Marketplace and TikTok Shop. The asbestos can become airborne and cause severe lung diseases if inhaled.

Ramipril Blood Pressure Medication Packaging Error

Crescent Pharma Limited recalled one batch of ramipril 2.5mg capsules (batch number GR155023) due to a packaging error that may have included 10mg capsules in boxes marked as 2.5mg. Dr Alison Cave, MHRA Chief Safety Officer, advised patients to check the batch number and contact their pharmacy if the strength does not match.

Krispy Kreme Donuts Allergy Risk

Krispy Kreme recalled its Pitch Perfect Doughnuts and Match Day Dozen doughnuts with best-before dates of June 21 and 22, 2026, as they may contain undeclared hazelnuts. A spokesperson said: "As a result of an isolated issue in our supply chain, we have recalled our limited-time Pitch Perfect Doughnut... because it may contain hazelnuts which are not declared on the packaging."

Fruit Pots Recalled for Salmonella Risk

Multiple UK supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, M&S, and Waitrose recalled fruit pots due to possible salmonella contamination. Affected products include various fruit pots and kebabs with use-by dates between June 23 and 24, 2026. A Food Standards Agency spokesman said: "If you have bought any of the products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund."
