More than 3,000 people have been evacuated in the south of France as a wildfire rages across a pine forest near the Mediterranean coast.
Firefighters battle blaze
About 800 firefighters are battling the flames, which have already destroyed around 1,000 hectares of forest in the Gard department.
The fire broke out on Thursday afternoon near the town of Bordezac, about 30km north-west of Avignon.
Evacuations and road closures
Residents of several villages have been told to leave their homes, and roads have been closed as a precaution.
No injuries have been reported so far.
