RSPCA Urges Animal Lovers to Join RSPCA Week Campaign

The RSPCA has issued an urgent plea to animal lovers across the UK, asking them to get involved in a campaign this June. The animal charity shared the appeal on social media, encouraging the public to participate in RSPCA Week, which runs from June 15 to June 21.

RSPCA Week 2026: How to Get Involved

In a Facebook post, the RSPCA announced: "Join us in celebrating RSPCA Week from 15 June to 21 June. RSPCA Ambassador, Kate Lawler, is here to tell us how you can get involved and make a difference for animals in need!" Kate Lawler, a TV personality and animal advocate, explained how people can help. She said: "Have you heard about RSPCA week? If not, where have you been? It launched last year. It's an annual event where we're encouraging the nation to do something incredibly fun, as well as raising money for the RSPCA."

Lawler highlighted the impact of donations: "I'm seeing today exactly where your money goes and it really is inspiring. The more people that sign up for RSPCA Week, the more the charity can keep protecting animals like moose here, and giving them the help they need." She added: "If you want to sign up, it takes just two minutes. So get online, search RSPCA week or tap the link, and you get a free digital pack with loads of ideas to help get you started."

Fundraising for Animal Welfare

RSPCA Week is a fundraising initiative to support animals in need, according to the charity's website. It states: "RSPCA Week is a fun and inspiring fundraising week that invites everyone – from schools and community groups to families, workplaces, and animal lovers everywhere – to get involved and support the world’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity. Get ready to celebrate, learn, and make a difference for animals in need!" The charity also encourages people to perform 'seven acts of kindness' this summer. The RSPCA said: "Help make this a Summer of Kindness for animals. Because kind acts, however small, combine to create a more compassionate world."

Simple Ways to Help

The RSPCA suggests a range of activities to help pets and local wildlife, including ideas suitable for children. More information is available on the charity's website.
