Specific local authorities include Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Cambridge, Essex, Greater London, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, and Sheffield, among others.
Health Risks and Precautions
The Met Office warned that "population-wide adverse health effects are likely" during the heatwave. Officials advise staying hydrated, avoiding the sun during peak hours, and checking on vulnerable individuals. The warning remains in place until Thursday.
