A massive fire has broken out at an industrial estate in West Lothian, sparking a huge emergency response. Crews raced to Caputhall Road, within the Deans Industrial Estate in Livingston, at around 3.20pm on Sunday, June 14. Five fire appliances are currently tackling the blaze at one of the buildings.
Footage from the scene shows orange flames engulfing the roof of the building, and plumes of thick black smoke billowing into the sky. The smoke can be seen from the M8 motorway, causing disruption to traffic in the area. Fire crews are working to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
Local residents have been advised to keep windows and doors closed due to the heavy smoke. The cause of the fire is not yet known, and investigations are expected to begin once the blaze is under control. Emergency services remain at the scene, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
