The streets of Cardiff became a vibrant sea of rainbows as Pride Cymru 2026, Wales' premier celebration of equality and diversity, took over the capital this weekend.
Festivities Kick Off with Mika at Cardiff Castle
The celebrations began on Friday with a live performance by pop icon Mika at Cardiff Castle. The singer delighted the crowd with hits such as Lollipop, Grace Kelly, and Love Today, at one point even venturing into the audience to dance with fans.
Saturday's Parade and Celebrations
Saturday dawned bright and sunny, setting the stage for an exciting day of Pride events. The highlight was the annual parade through the city centre, a much-anticipated event for LGBT+ community members and allies across Wales. The parade brought together performers, businesses, schools, brands, individuals, and even dogs, all united in celebration.
Participants included notable organizations such as Stonewall Cymru, Tenovus, The Queer Emporium, Monzo, and NHS Wales, among many others. After the parade, attendees enjoyed stalls, vendors, and live performances at Cardiff Castle, leading up to an evening of headline acts. The lineup featured Kate Nash, known for her hit Foundations, Eternal star Louise, 00s legends Ultrabeat, and many more.
